The locomotive was first delivered from Germany in gauge 700mm to the O&K store in Soerabaya the the sugar mill at Sragi, Peganlongan, Java. As Max 14 at Statfold Barn, UK the gauge has been reduced to 600mm by 2003.

Worked at the Sragi sugar mill in Java, Indonesia. Normally locos only worked for the 4 months of the sugar milling season. Train loads of cut sugar cane were transported from the fields to the mill where huge rollers would crush the sugar cane. The sugar juice would be collected and processed. The remaining cane, now called bagasse would be used as a fuel, not just for the steam locomotives, but any boilers at the sugar plant. Since arriving at Statfold the loco has lost its large spark arrestor. The tender has also lost it high sides from when it carried bagasse or firewood. Has been lent out to other railways for events.
