German built CFR No. 40.068 awaits restoration at Sibiu CFR Works on 7 October 1997. At the time of the visit we were told that the loco had recently been rescued after many years in a swamp in the Danube Delta. The loco is an examople of a Prussian (KPEV) class G8.1 0-8-0.
