This locomotive has an eventful history: Builder: BMAG - Berliner Maschinenbau AG, year of construction: 1916, factory number: 5839 1916-1925: P 8 "Erfurt 2497" (KPEV); 1925-1945: 38 1818 (DRB) 1945-1947: 38 1818 (ÖStB); 1947-1952: TK-1818 (SZD) Delivered from USSR to Romania 1952-199x: 230.401 (C.F.R.) since 199x: 230.401 (parked in the Dej Triaj depot) with tender 230.125 Rollable but incompletely preserved monument locomotive in very poor condition. It has not been finally clarified whether the 230.401 is actually the former 38 1818, or whether at least parts of the 38 1818 were used in a previous repair of the locomotive. There is an inauthentic metal plate attached to the locomotive with the factory number 5567 and the year of manufacture 1915. This data could match the former locomotive 38 1732 (manufacturer: BMAG). Maybe it remains a secret.
