The locomotive started work in the DRB Division of Posen (Poznan) before joining the PKP in late 1945 at Torun Glówny. It moved to Rybnik, Jarocin and Kraków Plaszów during the next decade, and from Nowy Sacz and Chabówka in the south-east to Wolsztyn and Zbaszynek in the west (from where it was withdrawn in 1993) during the 1980s. It was then displayed at the Skansen Rolling Stock exposition in Karsznice. In 2004 it was moved for display to Lódz, as a monument to the Victims of the Lodz Ghetto at Radogoszcz Station, Pamieci Ofiar Litzmannstadt Getto 12, 91-859 Lódz
