The locomotive was delivered from Vulcan-Werke (Hamburg & Stettin) as KPEV No. Essen 8428 which, itself, re-constituted into the DRB and became No. 78 189 from 1925. Following WWII in 1945, it joined PKP and, presumably became its current identity No. OKo1-3 working out of Szczecin Glówny. It was at Leszno in 1947 and at Jarocin in 1952 for two decades where it was then withdrawn. It went, in 1973, to the (soon to be moved and demolished) Stacja Muzeum. ul.
