Dear all, I have a photo of the Train Zs7535 which my Father took in the 1970s when he was travelling to Greece. It was already then out of commission.

Further to my last note, I do, of course, have a record of the ‘original’ Z 7.535 (Krauss 6615/1912) being extant at Nafplion!

The real (original) Zs 7.539 is Krauss 8323 of 1925 (Please Note build No.) apparently built with 2/3 others for the Attica Railway which had been taken over in 1910 by the Greek Electric Co. I can find no reference to this being ever owned by the SPAP (hence no company running number) which did, for a short time in the 1920s, and since 1962, become OSE. It (falsely) became OSE Z 7.535 for display at Kalamata. The original No. Zs 7.535 (SPAP 520) Krauss 4789/1902 is believed long since scrapped ?

Posted: 2014-12-28 19:27:06.3 by Alexandros C. Gregoriou The Steam Locomotive SEK/OSE No. Zs 7535 (ex Zcom 520) is normaly the No. Zs 7539 (Krauss 4789/1902). Rebuilt to superheated simples after WW2, took the No. Zs 7535. The original Zs 7535 (Krauss 6615/1912) is currently as static display in Nauplion, Peloponnese.

This locomotive is indeed at the location listed but, as my photograph dated 9 June 2011 shows, it (mistakenly) bears the number 7535! The correct No. 7535 (properly No. Zs7.535) was located preserved adjacent to the new Nafplion Harbour Stn. on the same date.

7539 is not at Kalamata Railway Park. Its location, or even its existence is unknown (22/06/12)
