I have no record of this loco surviving. A new book published in India covering all the preserved locomotives is en route fro India so it will be interesting to see if it appears there.

According to Geoff Cowards list of steam locomotives in India this locomotive is indeed located in Saharsa, India, but he claims in was built by Vulcan Foundry, Newton-le-Willows, England. He does not, however, provide a construction date or C/N. I am going to leave it as Krauss-Maffei as other sources agree with Dale W. Fickes information.
