The original owner, for whom the tram was built as their No. 6, was Malang, the then part of the Dutch East Indies, and the second-largest city in Java.

This is. ‘Malang’ Type 1 steam tram which was delivered to It’s original owner as their No. 6. With the PJKA, Java, it was re-numbered as B 1706, as it now is in the Jakarta Museum.
