This is Maffei, NOT K-M. It was originally Luxembourg-Bodenbacher Eisenbahn Concordiaschacht; later Arthur Seilert, Hopewell Juntion, New York. No recorded number.

There is no Steam Engine in Valatie. The Engine Mentioned in the previous note is a 24" gauge Plymouth Gas-Mechanical Switcher that was turned into a "Mock-Up" Steam engine. It originally came from Frontier Town, and was purchased by the owner of an industrial equipment repair/fabricating company. Whichever engine that this listing was meant to mention is either someplace else far from Valatie, or long gone.

This engine is now located on the front lawn of a steel fabricating firm on NYS Rt. 9 outside Valatie, NY. It is in rough condition w/ a phony balloon stack and cowcather pilot. This little German industrial engine is a good candidate for the founding of The Society to Prevent Cruelty to Badly Preserved Steam Engines!
