Ex Lautoka Sugar Mill Hudswell Clarke built 0-4-0ST No. 19 is visiting the Leighton Buzzard Railway as the 3rd visiting locomotive for their Gala Weekend on the 15th and 16th of September 2018.

Another sugar mill locomotive from Lautoka in Fiji. This loco mostly worked trains from the sugar mill to nearby shipping wharf carrying bagged sugar traffic. I have seen sugar transported by rail in strong brown paper sacks which were craned onto the deck of a ship. Then dockers cut open sacks and emptied the sugar into the ships hold when no conveyor was used. Not sure if this system was used. Withdrawn from service in 1960 and put on display at the mill. Now operating on Statfold Barn railway.
