The former South African Sugar estate Avonside Engine Co. Ltd built 0-4-0T Works No. 1986 "Renishaw No. 2" is now located the Moseley Railway Trust at Apedale in Staffordshire where she is under restoration.

The former South African Sugar estate Avonside Engine Co. Ltd built 0-4-0T Works No. 1986 "Renishaw No. 2" has been sold to a member of the Moseley Railway Trust at Apedale in Staffordshire where the locomotive has now relocated too for restoration. This will be a long term project as the locomotive needs a new boiler and side tanks and a lot of work to be carried out.

Since being repatriated from South Africa in May 2020, former South African Sugar estate Avonside Engine Co. Ltd built 0-4-0T Works No. 1986 "Renishaw No. 2" has now been put up for sale by the Richmond Light Railway to see it go to a good new home. The locomotive is complete but needs extensive boiler repairs or a new boiler.

The ex South African Sugar estate Avonside Engine Co. Ltd built 0-4-0T No. 1986 "Renishaw No. 2" should now be back in the UK now and located at its new home at the Richmond Light Railway at Headcorn in Kent where it should be under restoration.

The former South African Sugar estate Avonside Engine Co. Ltd built 0-4-0T No. 1986 "Renishaw No. 2" is being repatriated back to the UK for preservation at the Richmond Light Railway at Headcorn in Kent. When back in the UK the locomotive will undergo restoration to steam again there.
