One of 5 serviving Wabash steamers left. Restoration is still going on and will be hydrotested soon. The cab looks almost finished but the tender could use some work.

The locomotive and caboose were initially leased to the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society, Inc. but ownership was later conveyed to the FWRHS.  They are both located on Edgerton Road, New Haven, IN along with NKP 2-8-4 765.  The 0-6-0 is currently outdoors but the WAB caboose is kept indoors after restoration and it is used for Open House and Santa events.

Wabash 0-6-0 534 was leased to subsidiary Lake Erie and Fort Wayne as their No. 1 and operated until 1957.  Thereafter it was donated to Fort Wayne's Swinney Park along with Wab. wooden caboose 2534.  Moved to New Haven, IN  1986.  The 0-6-0 has been undergoing a restoration off and on since 1990.  The tender and locomotive are separated.  The tender tank has been largely rebuilt but major work remains on the tender frame.  The cab has been largely rebuilt but is not mounted.
