This engine is only considered to be parts. It will be used as a boiler for the No.7, and some other smaller parts. Afterwards remains will likely be scrapped.

Originally bought for parts, however this has been changed and it is now awaiting restoration

I heard a rumor that she will be restored after number nine and 2 get out of the shed, as well as 7 and 3

In response to Nick, I believe that this shay was purchased for parts and eventually scrap like was already said. The #8 could go the the Agnew shay when it is eventually restored.

According to an article in the Barbour Democrat, a newspaper printed in Philippi, WV, this locomotive has been sold to the Cass Scenic Railroad.  The locomotive is not being purchased for restoration, but rather for parts, which will be used to (hopefully) repair former Meadow River Lumber Co. Shay #7 and return her to active service on the line.  If this occurs it will be the first time since 1970 that the CSRR operated #7 (of course it will probably be another decade or so before this occurs!).
