When I was at the Museum, I spoke with the curator of the place, and he stated that the engine was never repossessed. So, from what I can gather, I am guessing that the engine was ordered by the Tennessee Coal Company, but during the construction phase, the company realized they could not pay for it, and canceled the purchase, with the engines components already assembled and waiting on the floor. There was no one who wanted an engine to the same specs as this one, so there was no reason to complete this one.

I was on a website, which posted records from the official archives of the Glover Machine Works, when they tore down the building, that states that this locomotive was built some time in 1906. It does not state anything else, other than it was built for the Tennessee Coal Company, and its builders number, which we already know. I want to know when the thing was repossessed, so that I can find out how long of a life this thing had. If it had a life span of less than 10 years, I want to get it out of that museum, and get it to run along with the other one with it.
