In 2013, the locomotive was returned to the DB Museum upon request by the DGEG and transported to Meiningen. The locomotive was to be brought from the DB Museum to the “Meiningen Adventure World” in the steam locomotive works. It was planned to cut open the boiler along the longitudinal axis in order to be able to show the inside of the boiler to explain the drive principle of a steam locomotive. In September 2019, the locomotive was still disassembled and loaded onto various flat wagons in the outdoor area of the DLW Meiningen. Work on the boiler began in spring 2022 in preparation for the planned exhibition in the adventure world. On May 10, 2023, the locomotive completed for the steam locomotive experience world was lifted by crane into the former canteen of the steam locomotive factory. Three exhibits were created from the locomotive: the running gear on the left side of the locomotive, half the boiler (left side), and the entire "rest" of the locomotive (complete frame, running gear and engine on the right side, cut-away boiler and drivers cab). The costs for the refurbishment and the new production of some components to complete the locomotive totaled more than one million euros. However, the show is not currently open. Construction work is still taking place and the exhibition is scheduled to begin in 2024. Location of the old canteen: 50.581930471055834, 10.420787371454796

Originally delivered to KPEV as No. Essen 7964, that became a little over a decade later DRG No. 92 739 through to 1948 when it was taken over by DB in the same identity, working through to 1965. In 1970 it was plinthed in Volkspark Stadtallendorf until 1991 when it went to the DGEG museum at Neustadt/Weinstraße.
