This is the oldest known Henschel built locomotive still extant. It was delivered to the KPEV at Cöln (Crr) ? as No. 1770, later transferred to nearby Elberfelf (Efd) as both their No. 1787 and later 6169. From 1923 it worked at Aw Siegen as werklok No. 004 and was plinthed, in 1962, for at least four years in the DB training school at Wuppertal-Clausen. In 1972 it went to a school playground for two decades in Schwalbach, Taunas then in 1993, to the Bergisch Märkische Eisenbahn (BME), Förderverein Wupperschiene (FWS) Radevormwald-Dählhausen where it was until at least 2003. In 2008 it went to the Eisenbahn and Heimatmuseum (EHEM) at Erkrath-Hochdahl where it is believed to be now. Surprising that no images of this appear on site ? Also, the identity 89.7005 is probably ficticious! It is not believed to have operated as such, probably adopted by the FWS, though it may have been identified as such by the DRG in 1925 whilst working in Siegen ?
