Delivered to the DRB by the MBA successor to O&K from their Potsdam-Babelberg/Drewitz plant as No. 52 3699 at Brandenburg West. In November 1945 it was stored by the SBZ Military administration, emerging with the newly created DR in 1949 in the same identity until, in 1963, called to Raw Stendal for reconstruction which included SKL Halberstadt boiler No.31432/1963, the locomotive being released as No. 52 8083, that with computerisation in 1970 became 52 8083-9 and working in this guise until early 1988.
