The locomotive entered service with the then DRB as No. 52 3734 (on behalf of Krauss-Maffei o/n 16825) and in late 1945 was stored by the SBZ Military Administration until 1949 when adopted by the newly created DR in the same identity. It was reconstructed as a Rekolok at Raw Stendal, in early 1961, emerging as No. 52 8013-6 It worked until the end of 1991 and was withdrawn from Bw Wustermark. In the Spring of 1993, into DB it was purchased by B Falz, eventually going to Falkenberg (Elster).
