Was a spare parts donor for the refurbishment of the DB museum locomotive 50 622. Then dismantled in the Offenburg repair shop and parts taken as technical exhibits for various museums. The rest was scrapped. The demonstration drive shown in the picture is located on the grounds of the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA) and can be seen in Google Maps (Blue Dots). I would agree with Joachim Lutz as to the origins of this locomotive, delivered to the DRB eighteen month after the commencemntbof WW2. It survived and joined the newly created DB in 1949 using thevsame identity, later becoming No. 050 951 being withdrawn from traffic shortly afterwards in 1972 at Bw Dillengen. Purchased later that year by the ALdMF at Hagendange, Luxenbourg, it was intended for display in Thionville, France but spent time as a stationary at Aw Offenburg 1983-1992. Later in 1992, part of the frame, a set of wheels and cylinders went on display in Karlsruhe, and thevframe only pased to Tuttlingen during 1993.
