Initially delivered during WW2 to the initial DRB (successor to the DRG) as No. 50 1768, the identity it carried with the SBZ military administration 1945-1949. It succeeded in that identity with the newly formed DR who later re-built it with a more powerful boiler as a Rekolok and gave it the number 50 3610, later EDP 50 3610-8. It was withdrawn by the merged DB in 1992 and sold the following year, now normally based at Bw Nossen.

This locomotive is a 1960 Rekolok (RAW Stendal) No. 50 1768. It has been on loan from Wedler & Franz GbR (WFL), who purchased it in 2008, to Interessengemeinschaft Dampflok Nossen e.V, (the former DR/DB Bw) Bismarckstraße 44, 01683 Nossen, Sachsen, Deutschland (info@bwnossen.de) since August 2009.
