Originally intended for delivery to DRB - Deutsche Reichsbahn as No. 50 3186 ÜK, that was actually produced in 12/1942 and accepted in 01/1943 by DRB - Deutsche Reichsbahn as No. 50 3163 ÜK that, in 08/1945 found itself in the RBGD - Reichsbahn General Directorate of the British Zone of Occupation, Bielefeld as No. 50 3163; later the ODE - Head Office of the German Railways of the French occupied zone, Speyer tgat, from 08/1946 became the D.O.C.F. - Detachment of occupation des Chemins de Fer Français, Speyer; then from 08/1947 SWDE - Association of Southwest German Railways, Speyer; only in late 1951 did it form part of DB - Deutsche Bundesbahn as No. 50 3163. It had a relatively early retirement, not running after 08/1955 and being withdrawn from Bw Ludwigshafen. The following year it went to the Technical University of Karlsruhe as a teaching object, in whose grounds it was in 1968, it being unclear whether dismantling was by DB or a third party?

Joachim Lutz reports: "That locomotive was indeed handed over from the state railway in 1956 to the technical university (Technische Hochschule TH) in Karlsruhe, but already scrapped in September 1968(!) I never read anything about this locomotive again."
