Delivered to the then DRB in the second year of WW2 as No. 44 606, it progressed into the emerging DB during 1949 in the same identity, becoming No. 043 606-3 upon computerisation and worked until late 1977, being withdrawn from Bw Emden. It was first preserved at Bonte-Kai, Wilhelmshaven until lat least 2000, and in 2003 it went to Bahnpark in the former Bw Augsburg.
