Delivered initially to the then DRB during the early part of WW2 as No. 44 1182. it succeeded into the fledgling DR in 1949 with the same identity. Upon computerisation it became No. 44 1182-3 as well as No. 44 0182-4 when rebuilt to coal firing, prior to reverting tomits original identity, it being withdrawn from service during the Spring of 1990. In the Summer of 1992 it was preserved by the ETB, Staßfurt.
