Delivery and acceptance in 08/1939 to DRB - Deutsche Reichsbahn as No. 41 052 at Reichsbahn repair shop Nied, Frankfurt (Main)-Nied that after WW2 found itself within the RBGD - Reichsbahn General Directorate of the British Zone of Occupation, Bielefeld that eventually became the HVE as the Railway Department into the Transport Administration, that in 1949 created the DB - Deutsche Bundesbahn in 1949. In 1960 the locomotive was modified and super-heated re-boilered (Henschel 29922/1960) at Aw Braunschweig and in 1968, computerised and renumbered 042 052-1. It was withdrawn from Bw Rheine in 02/1977, later that year going to the City of Osnabrück, Tourist Office in that identity and, in 07/1979 displayed in Roteburger Straße, Osnabrück and in 09/2001 secured by ODF - Osnabrücker Dampflokfreunde e. V., at Osnabrück-Piesberg as 41 052.
