Contrary to prior belief, this "Sächsische" belongs to the Sachsen Cast Steel Works of Döhle, Freital outside Dresden, i.e. "Sächsische Gußstahlfabrik", and appeared at the World Exhibition, London in 1862. The locomotive was then un-numbered. It later went to the Rheingruben Kies & Sandbaggerie at Duisburg-Wedau as their No. 1, working until 1969. It then became the property of a Peter Grützmacher of Emmerthal-Lüntort before going to the MVT, Berlin.
