Delivered to the DRG in 1926 as No 01 005, this is the lowest numbered preserved Class 01 Pacific, later DRB prior to WW2. In the same identity it was ceded to the emerging DR and was later given a EDP of No. 01 2005-5, being withdrawn from active service in September 1969. It took another eight years before joining the Traditonslok Museum in Dresden, still the current owners despite its longevity, since 1987, at Stassfurt Museum.
