I heard just two weekends ago that these people were starting to work on this engine, and that they just did a hydro test on the boiler.

4/2016 the boiler and cab combo were moved to Claysburg after being moved to Hollidaysburg earlier in the winter/spring. The whole engine is now at Claysburg, PA on the Everett RR.

This locomotive along with the Mikado and the railroad's GP9 have been moved from the engine house to the Kane station for auction day. It seems to be the least touched out of all the locomotives in the fire.

From the Bradford, PA Era newspaper An arson fire early Sunday at a Biddle Street building in Kane caused $1 million in damage and severely burned two locomotives that were once used for Kinzua Bridge State Park tourist trips. Ex-H&BTM BLW 2-8-0 #38 was one of the victims, damages are believed to be "extensive" at this time.

This locomoitve is not in Marienville along with the 2-8-2 both locomotives are in Kane and they might be sold along with the Knox and Kane Railroad.  This loco according to the owner just needs a small overhaul and an inspection and it could be in running conditon again the K&K is still embargoed only from Clarion to the Marienville.  From Marienville to Mt Jewett the railroad is not embargoed

Some time ago the KKRR embargoed itself and has begun to sell off some equipment.  Both steam locomotives have not been offered for sale as of this date.

I believe this Locomotive should be listed as "Display" or "Out of Service" as it has not run in many years....they now operate their Chinese 2-8-2 on regular excursions.
