The works plate for the tender.

There is an annual train race in Sydney which is held on the Queen's birthday holiday weekend. In 2017, 3016 does battle with the more modern contender, 3642.

The cab interior is in excellent condition too.

Shortly before being taken out of traffic in 2018 the loco is in excellent external condition.
