The leading power bogie, which carries the water tank. This is the left hand low pressure cylinder of this compound locomotive. Notice that unlike later Garratt locos, the cylinders are at the trailing end of the bogie.

The trailing power bogie, which carries the bunker. This is the left hand high pressure cylinder of this compound locomotive. Notice that unlike later Garratt locos, the cylinders are at the leading end of the bogie.
