When based on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway the loco was painted in this unauthentic British Railways green. Hardly fitting for a type of loco known universally as a 'Black Five'!

On 25th March, 2017 44806 catches a gleam from the afternoon sun as it runs across the level crossing at Grosmont.

Running light engine through the North Yorkshire Moors Railway's side of Grosmont station having just passed under the signal gantry controlling the north end of the station. The gantry once stood at the west end of Scarborough station. July 3rd 2014.
