On display in the Great Hall of the National Railway Museum in July 2013 alongside the other five members surviving of the class. The Great Gathering was a never to be repeated event which brought all six locos together.

On 11th June 1977 there was an exhibition of steam locomotives in York station. Naturally, 'Mallard' was there to please everyone present.
