Long before the move to Paignton and before it acquired a name, 4277 ran on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Here, the powerful eight coupled tank loco climbs the last few yards of the 1 in 49 bank into Goathland station.

At the North Norfolk Railway's Bank Holiday Gala on the 26th of August 2024, 4277 runs past working with new build 6880 'Betton Grange'. Western super power! Note the leading vehicle in the train - a CCT van. CCT stood for 'Closed carriage Truck', a somewhat archaic classification at the time the van was built!
