With a cowcatcher and diamond stack added and dirtied up for filming purposes, The loco looks like a character from a western, well, almost.

In the 1970's the loco was based of the Great Central Railway and is shown running tender first on 23rd July 1977.

'King Haakon VII' was still in this scruffy form on 9th of September 2023 - no less than six years after the earlier photos! A shame, as it would look so much better returned to the green colour it once had and with the fake diamond stack and cowcatcher removed.
