42765 is seen standing in Barry scrapyard in July 1969, prior to rescue and restoration.

Running tender first on a visit to the Great Central Railway in January 2018. The loco is running in early LMS red livery with it's original number applied to the tender. This method was replaced by the number being on the cab side which made more sense as tenders often were exchanged between locos.

Seen on the East Lancashire Railway in 2000, the loco is in it's early British Railways livery as 42765.

Even classic locos in their original paint scheme can't escape the 'Thomas' treatment. 'James the red engine' anyone? October 4th 2015.

Bearing in mind the previous photo, this represents a more acceptable angle on October 4th 2015.

Before purchase for preservation the loco was sent for scrap to Woodham's yard, Barry Dock. Photo from 23rd March 1968
