And underneath we see the axle with the heavy duty chain drive. These locos were very low geared and as a result could move a surprising tonnage. It's a long time since this one moved at all.

Another view of this interesting conversion of a conventional loco into a vertical boiler Sentinel loco. Final drive in these was by chains, but conversions like this one retained the coupling rods of the original loco. The boiler in the cab is clearly seen in this view with the two cylinder engine ahead of it. Towards the front of the loco is the coal bunker and water tank.
