This unusual loco from a French builder is shown in action. It must look even more interesting on video.

A detail photo of the loco's mechanical parts. The arrangement is very strange to British eyes, with the rocking lever to reverse the direction of the piston thrusts before the connecting rod drives the leading axle. Notice how the valve motion is derived from the connecting rod movement - a little like the British Bagnall design.
