J.D. Marzec, a visitor to our site reports that the two remaining locomotives at the Thompson Winery in Monee, IL have been donated to the Illinois Railroad Museum at Union, IL. I do not know if they've yet been moved, to Union, or if there are plans to do so. Mr. Marzec provided a nice photo of the Lee Tidewater Cypress 2-6-0 as seen below:

Jeff Terry, our editor-at-large and frequent contributor provided this cab photo of the M&StL 2-8-0 in the park in Mason City, IA. His comments follow the picture.

Inside the cab of M&StL No. 457, on display at Mason City, Iowa. The volunteers have done a fantastic job restoring the cab interior, and replacing the missing gauges. This locomotive is not in a museum, but displayed in a city park. How many park engines have you seen that look this good? Great work guys!
